The type of lubrication is quite important.  It is not only for a good consistent performance, but to minimise the wear factors. 

Oil should not be used for the polymer flyer bearings. It should be a grease, preferably Vaseline.  Oil will not last in that place, due to the oscillation of the parts, as it is not only just about a steady rotation.  The Vaseline should be applied to the steel orifice piece of the flyer, and not the flyer bearing itself, because it is too thin to hold much lubrication on that polymer surface.

The oil type for the bobbins on the flyer shaft is also vital.  Not just any oil, but it should be car engine oil.  The reason is that the bronze bushes are actually porous (called sintered bronze bushes).  They are made that way, to soak up the oil.  When friction develops, due to insufficient oil on the steel surface, then the heat generated, will then thin that oil in the body of the bronze bush, and that oil will leach out onto the steel surface.

Using a light covering of these oils on the moving parts of your Roberta E-Spinner will help keep you spinning consistently and with less vibration and noise. Not saying it needs it inherently but with using these items sparingly every six to eight hours you will keep your investment in top order.
