Naturally Grown - Mohair Roving – From Laura’s Farm in Rice Lake, Wisconsin

We’re proud to partner with Laura's Farm in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, where Laura lovingly raises her Mohair goats with care and intention. Their fiber comes to us here at JK Evergreen Ranch, where we process it into luxuriously soft roving right here at Driftless Woolen Mill. 
 
This stunning Mohair roving is never dyed—we keep it completely natural so you can enjoy the color just as the goats grew it. The fiber is silky soft, yet strong, with a healthy staple length that’s perfect for both hand and machine spinning. It drafts smoothly and spins up into beautiful yarn with a soft luster and gentle halo unique to mohair.
 
The sample picture is to show you what I was able to do when I hand spun this beutiful fiber.  It is so much fun to work with and gives you a very nice fiber for any knitting or crochet project.
